They can dial in whenever it's convenient, from any phone, to pick up and reply to messages or to update their recorded greetings. With the advanced option you can even record and forward phone calls.

It is SpliceCom belief, that messaging – in its many disparate forms – and represents a fundamental part of modern business communications. Therefore integral support for voicemail, auto-attendant, email and SMS are all provided as standard on maximiser IP PBX (business telephone system).
Voicemail
maximiser IP PBX (IP phone systems) supports integral voicemail on both the 5100 & 5108 Call Servers. 5100 supports an integral voice mail with 4-16 ports with 1,500 hours of recording time, whilst the 5108 Call Server offers 2-8 port voice mail with 500 hours of recording time. Should more than this be required? simply run the maximiser IP PBX (business telephone system) voicemail application on a LAN attached Linux PC or Server. An entry-level PCs could provide support for around 30 concurrent calls and a 40Gb hard disk drive will store well over 1,000 hours of voicemail. And because the maximiser IP PBX (business telephone system) is built around a distributed architecture, multiple voicemail services can be run, these can be spread across multiple-sites or centralised.
Employee notification for voicemail messages can be Email, SMS, Caller Display and even paged alerts can be used.
PCS 410, PCS 100s and PCS 60 all provide visual management capabilities for voicemail messages. An audio voicemail navigation interface is provided for PCS 10, PCS 5 and existing analogue phones.

Unified Messaging
The ability to use Unified Messaging allows maximiser IP PBX (business telephone system) voicemail messages to be sent to any email server supporting the Internet Messaging Application Protocol (IMAP). This includes Lotus Notes, Novell GroupWise and Apple Mail, in addition to Microsoft Exchange. maximiser IP PBX (business telephone system) synchronises its voicemail application with email, so if a voicemail is deleted the appropriate email will be deleted and vice versa.
SpliceCom’s Enhanced Speech Processing (ESP) utilised by Unified Messaging technology allowing your emails to be “read” back to you from any phone, wherever you are. When you’ve listened to your email, all you have to do is speak your response, this will then be emailed to the original sender as a .wav attachment. Emails can also be deleted in same manner.
Auto Attendant
maximiser IP PBX (business telephone system) has a simple, single level, ten-entry auto attendant supplied as standard. For anyone who is looking to deploy a telephone system in a multi-tenancy or serviced office environment, maximiser IP PBX (business telephone system) allows a completely different auto attendant to be configured for each separate business.
Interactive Voice Response
Sophisticated solutions requiring, multi-level auto attendant, dial by extension or IVR requirements are addressed through the use of SpliceCom’s Enhanced Speech Processing (ESP). This VoiceXML based application can be added to maximiser IP PBX (business telephone system) on a per-concurrent call/port basis and provides an infinitely variable range of deployment options that can be constructed when combining text-to-speech conversion and/or the playback of pre-recorded audio files with recognition of DTMF input, recording of spoken input and telephony features such as call transfer and disconnect. For example, Alarm, Wake-Up or Reminder Calls can be set-up and generated in this manner.
SMS
Increasingly Text Messaging usage is becoming a popular tool for businesses to contact employees and customers alike. Nut just using SMS to alert employees to new voicemail messages, maximiser IP PBX (business telephone system) also provides integral support for SMS text messaging via the PCS 410 IP Phone and the PCS 60 IP Softphone/Phone Partner application. SMS dial options for Contact, User & Department directory entries activate a text entry page, allowing messages to be drafted and sent. The format of maximiser IP PBX (business telephone system) generated text messages allows any reply to be automatically routed to the appropriate User’s maximiser IP PBX (business telephone system) mailbox where it is clearly identified by a unique SMS icon. Simply by double clicking on the entry, the message to be read. An agreement with an SMS provider, eg World Text or SMS Alert is required to use this service.
maximiser IP PBX (business telephone system) also uses SMS as the underlying mechanism to allow text messages to be sent directly between employees using PCS 410s and PCS 50s. These messages are routed internally without the need to access the GSM network.
Fax
The modular architecture of maximiser IP PBX (business telephone system) enables fax traffic to dynamically share the ISDN channels with normal voice traffic. Traditional fax machines can be used in conjunction with Phone Modules, whilst fax servers supporting fax to the desktop can be integrated via modems connected to a Phone Module, or Basic Rate ISDN connected to an ISDN S-Bus on the Call Server, Remote Call Server or Trunk Modules. Multiple channel operation is also supported. SpliceCom recommend the use of GFI FAXmaker for Exchange/SMTP.
